Errol Community Council Page

Errol is a village in the Carse of Gowrie, a fertile, arable area next to the Firth of Tay between Perth and Dundee.

The Community Council is a statutory and the most local component of the democratic structure. By law it is consulted by the local authority (Perth and Kinross Council), the Scottish Executive and the UK parliament on various policy and planning issues. It also supports various community groups through, for example the support of this web-site.

Community Councillors are elected where necessary (i.e. if enough candidates come forward). Meetings are open to the public, held in the village hall and are advertised in the village Post Office on the High Street and on the village Notice Board.
