Based on research done some 10 years ago, Errol Leisure Limited gained planning permission for an extension to incorporate a much larger Community Centre Hall and extended facilities.
Errol Leisure Limited has around £300,000 of accumulated funds and further funds have been pledged.Around £730,000 would be required to deliver the planned extension. Grants have been sought to augment the funds already accumulated.
With a new village primary school opening in Autumn 2009, offering a new sports hall, catering kitchen and meeting rooms available for hire to the community. It is no longer necessary to construct a large extension to the Community Centre.
Further community consultation is required. A questionnaire will be sent to all residents by post in the near future. This will be designed to establish what upgrades are required for the Community Centre and will explore further opportunities to
extend usage.
